Last Night...

WOW! Last night we had the massivest (lol) storm. I think it was the biggest I have ever been in except for Yasi of course!

So about 3am we woke up to a heap of thunder and the storm got closer and closer until it was right overhead. The lightning was amazing! I have never seen such a show and the thunder crashed at precisely the same time the lightning was visible. Ok, yes, I was a bit scared. I wish I had been brave enough to get my camera out and see if I could get any shots (but I don't think they would have worked anyway) but I was huddled under my blankets, sweating.

Now I am NEVER scared of storms but this was a BIG one and I was a tinsy bit frightened. Once the lightning seemed so close and the bang was so loud that I had to actually stop and think that the house hadn't been hit. That's when I started praying for everyone's safety!

After what seemed for ever, the storm seemed to move away and I relaxed and was almost asleep when CRACK! It was amazing! I'd never heard anything like that before. The thunder sounded like a tree had been hit and had split but it hadn't. The light of the lightning revealed that. CRAZY! after this it moved away again but that one sure made me jump!
When I woke up this morning (late! lol) I looked out and it all felt like a dream. Sure there was a dark cloud on the horizon but right above us was blue sky. But it was no dream. Everyone else heard it too.
