WA Update 2

25th Jan
First thing this morning I edited “Faith Melody”. It turned out so well! We had sung the song through with a far off view and then for our solos we took a close up shot of just our faces and then we had to lip sync. Thankfully it wasn’t as hard as I though it would be.
After breaky, Uncle Kel, Aunty Nic and the little kids went to the shops and El and I worked on “Pass It On”. This was def the hardest that we have done so far for some reason and it took us ages to get it done.
Just as we finished, the family got back. They decided to go down the beach for a swim but it was time for us to cook lunch so we took a break from recoding to make pasta and sauce and then when it was ready and the others were still not back we practiced and recorded the rough version of two more songs: “Hear My Cry” - Ely’s solo, and “Long Ago” - my solo.
Finally it was lunch time and we could eat! It was so good!
After lunch we went down to the beach and Ely and I jumped on a boogy board and we drifted for a couple of hours just chatting and laughing together.
We were on our way back when we spotted Tarlea and so we went down and ended up spending ages playing around with her. When we had finished in the water she followed us to the showers and after we had got clean and dry  we had tea and then headed down the beach for our second videoing session of “Pass It On”. Tarlea came and ‘helped’ us and told us we looked retarded while we sang but we got it done. We did it in the dark with the help of a very bright lantern of Uncle Kels which shed just the right amount of light to have a really cool effect.
We took the footage back to the caravan, down-loaded it onto the computer while we did dishers and I was just editing it when Josh and Lizzy turned up.
So the greetings took place and as everyone chatted excitedly, I finished editing and we watched it together.
26th Jan - Australia Day
Very tired this morning as El and I stayed up late talking, but it was nice to catch up.
After breaky, we showed Josh our videos and he was nice enough to admit that they were quite an improvement on the last ones that were done in our little circle.
Then he kindly turned the internet sharing on his iPhone on and I spent some time catching up on emails and El and I looked at hundreds of pictures on Facebook.
At 10 pm we decided to go to the Nautical Lady in Busselton and have a go on the water-slide. So by 11pm we were there getting our little wrist-bands on and then we headed in. Up, up, up the stairs we went to the top and then whoosh down and around to the bottom. Some of those corners were pretty fast!
After our hour pass had finished, we headed back to the caravan and made haystacks for lunch and then ate them in a very crowded but cool caravan.
We spent most of the afternoon in the ocean because it is just so hot outside. We played call and and had a sand fight and then rinsed off, got changed and got in the car again and headed in to Busselton to have chips for tea near the jetty.
While it was still light, El and I attempted to video “Wonderful Peace”. It wasn’t nearly as scary as I thought it would be but we didn’t know the words so that made it really hard and personally I don’t think we went very well at all.
After our recording and finishing tea, all of us went for a walk down the length of the 1.82km jetty. I was sure it was two ks and the sign said it used to be 2.something but when we read the sign it said that it is only 1.82 now.
Anyway it was really nice wandering up there in the breeze, past dozens of people fishing and watching the fireworks in Bunbry which we could only just see.
27th Jan
This morning we all headed into town for a town morning. Josh and Lizzy took the kids somewhere and El and I went with Uncle Kel and Aunty Nic who dropped us off at one of the best op-shops I have ever been to. El and spent over an hour in there and came out very productively. It was heaps of fun!
When we got home, a whole bunch of us piled in the kitchen and started to cook. Not just for today’s lunch but for Sabbath as well. We made egg sandwiches, Apricot Chicken (thanks to Josh) and all sorts of other yummy things.
After lunch most of us went down to the beach for a swim but El and I stayed back for a bit to try to get some more recording done which we did but we are getting sick of it and the quality is going down, plus it is so hot! So we followed the rest down to the beach.
We decided to take the boogie boards out again and just drift, so we braved the stingers and actually made it out without being stung. But when we came back in, it was a different matter. El and I both got stung, me for the first time. It didn’t hurt anywhere near as much as I thought it would. In fact it only stung for a minute or so and that was it, for good.
When El and I got back from our showers, we found Josh lying on Lizzy’s bed, sick. Poor Joshy.
Connor turned up about 8:30pm tonight. He’s got the crazy old Land Cruiser with the most ugly sticker up the sides!
28th Jan - Sabbath
Joshy is still sick this morning, though a little bit better then last night. We were all hopeing he would be well enough to go to Sabbath School and Church but he decided to stay home so Lizzy, El, Bernard and I headed in for Sabbath School at Busselton church. The youth Sabbath School was pretty good actually. From what I heard it was much better then last week but I can’t judge because I wasn’t here last week.
Church time, Uncle Kel, Aunty Nic, Connor, and the kids joined us and then after lunch, Sam and Nicole, their kids, and Brian Tink came over to the camp ground and had lunch with us. That was nice. The Jones girls are growing up so quickly. When I saw them at church, Hannah came running over and gave me a big hug and Sophie gave me three little dandelions. She is so cute!
After lunch, El, Liz and I did the dishes and then Josh, Connor and us girls lay around in the air-conditioning chatting and listening to stories on CD.
For closing Sabbath we went down to Yallingup Beach and watched the sun set behind the  clouds and then we went for a walk along the beach until after dark and then we came back and went to bed.
A cool change had come over late in the afternoon and it was really nice to be able to go to sleep in the cool.
29th
The Perthites are leaving this morning but we wanted to do something together before they left so right after breaky, we put Emy and Cabe into Josh and Lizzy’s car and El and I climbed into Connor’s Land Cruiser and we headed over to Siesta Park where they have a big, fun playground with a Tarzan Swing, a Flying Fox and lots of other fun-for-big-kid rides.
We played here for maybe a bit over an hour then Josh, Lizzy and Connor dropped us back at the caravan and they left for Perth. It seems empty without them here but El and I have work to do so we won’t have much time to miss them.
We recorded “Long Ago” - my solo this afternoon and then headed over to Bunker’s Bay where we wanted to video “Create in Me a Clean Heart” and “Open My Eyes”. We got there and unpacked. El was to video me playing my violin up on a rock for the intro of “Create” first but just as we thought we were organised, she turned the camera on and lo and behold, 5 mins of battery! Oh dear. Well that blew that idea and we headed back to the campground to charge the battery!
