A Hoppy Day
Frogs leap,
So does the cricket and the kangaroo.
And while it’s kinda deep,
Did you know that days leap too?
Up and over, every four years,
Feb twenty-nine is a special day.
For some it’s time for a couple ‘o’ beers,
But I think we’ll stick to water ey?
They say the girls can do the askin’,
But don’t you think that’s absolutely wrong?
I think it’s all just one big passin’,
For a big dance and song!
Son on this hoppy day,
The sun will still progress.
And while we all work and play,
Remember God knows best!
But there’s one thing I forgot,
It’s the last of summer’s days,
But it’s never been as hot,
And cool weather we will praise.
