Blessings...

"um...um...um, Katie, tan I come too?"
I hesitated, I had wanted this walk all to myself. I was feeling like I might be coming down with a bug and I needed some fresh air and now Daniel wanted to come too. It wasn't my first preference, but now his older brother, Alec wanted to come to and really, who can resist two gorgeous little red-heads.
"You can come if Mummy says you can." I stalled, still looking for a way out. So we headed off down the hill towards their caravan to ask Mummy. Mummy said it was fine and then next thing was, "I'm gonna get my bike, ok?"
"Ok." I said, trying not to let my impatience show.
"An... an...an...you wait here?"
"Yep, I'll wait for you."
"Wait right at this post."
"Ok, Daniel. I'll wait here." I went and stood at the post and prepared to wait. The little red-head bobbed up the hill and disappeared. In just a few moments it returned.
"I can't find my bike. I need you." Groaning inwardly, knowing this could take a while, I dragged myself up the hill. I could be halfway to the gate by now. I thought to myself. Thankfully this time it didn't take long to find Daniel's bike and Alec already had his so we could finally start on the walk.
Pretty much as soon as we got to the flatter areas of the road and turned toward the mail box, the boys road ahead, always in view but I also got the time to myself that I had wanted.
As I walked, I glanced down at my boots. My baxter riding boots that have already become my best friends and favourite shoes in the last six weeks. My mind flew back to January when I had been walking down a dusty road at Shalem, WA chatting to my best friend about boots.
"The next pair of boots I buy will be riding boots." I had said, but since then, I haven't bought any boots.
It hit me now as I walked along that God had answered what had not even been a prayer. When I was out at Coonabarabran, Kim, the lady we were staying with, gave me this pair of Baxters and now it struck me as a total gift from God.
This got me thinking. We have such a privilege to work for the King of the universe. I didn't even think of asking Him for a pair of boots and yet, He gave them too me. How awesome is that!
"Here's the mail, Katie." I was startled out of my thoughts by the boys waving the mail from the gate up ahead.
