So today is the big health day!

Tomorrow the plan is to head out to the gem fields with Laszlo and Rachel. I’m really looking forward to getting out there and having a dig around. Sandy and Ken were telling us yesterday how completely different it is out there. Apparently there are a bunch of humpies out there and people who are hiding from things: life, the law. I’m quite excited about visiting!

Well, it all went well. We arrived around around 11am and Amy and I set up the books/products while Russ finished preparing his health talk. When Dave arrived from his Bible study, we set up the room. There were lots of people, way more then we expected. There was awesome church support which is always a real blessing and then there was a handful of people from the community. Altogether I counted 32 people.

When it came to selling the resources, I was so proud of the church members. When some of the public wanted to buy but didn’t have the cash, one of our ladies generously made up the difference and made it clear that she expected no repayment.

One of the gentlemen asked, surprised: “Do I know you?”
This is truly showing Christ to the world: doing a kind deed of sacrifice for a stranger and expecting no return. Witnessing that was the greatest blessing of my day.
