Life seems to have a habit of running away with you. Our days are so filled with work, study, socialising, interaction with our family, managing our time, our money, our affections, our resources that sometimes you can get 'snowed under' as they say sometimes. When this happens, our first point of call should obviously be Christ. Anytime we call, He is waiting to answer us and He will always provide just enough strength to get us through anything that He has given us to learn from.
Sometimes though we get the opportunity to step back for an instant and view our life from a distance before plunging back into it headlong again. In the last two weeks I have had the opportunity of doing just that. I must say that it has been a huge blessing to be able to spend two weeks away from everything (except maybe a bit of thought about what I should be doing) and spend time with Cousin. We had some wonderful adventurous times together like traipsing around an old pine forest looking for a brumby herd, some worrisome times - let's not go there, lots of wild laughter and some deep conversations. For both of us we just let go and relaxed (mostly). And that was nice.
It snowed. Yep, that part of my dream was fulfilled. We got to go wandering around in the gently settling snowflakes and got some great photos (below). We also were able to do a bit of filming for a music video that we might share if it's good enough! We learnt, or rather were reminded some things about human relations and realised again how wonderful it is to have a community of friends and family who are truly on the lookout for you.
And now back to life. For both of us we are literally bucked into a crazy rodeo that we call life but we can approach it now with fresh energy and insight. Let's ride this rodeo!!!!
