Before I start my story today, I must explain that I am a regular (most of the time) entrant for a fun competition called the Bundy Photo Challenge. We get given a 'topic' to take a photo of and then we vote for our favourite.
Well "Strawberry" was due today and even though I had a photo ready to go, I had another idea I wanted to play with. So, i went to the stove, got out a little pot and filled it with water. Next, I got an enamel cup and put a handful of NAS carob buds and a Tbs of coconut oil in to melt. I also got my strawberries (compliments of Scotty) out of the fridge and picked out the best looking ones.
Now everything was ready for the melted carob to come into action. And it did! Substantially! As I carried it with tongs from the stove to the bench, it slipped and I was treated to a show of beauty as the carob flung it's self all over the kitchen, and bedroom! It landed everywhere but: near the strawberries. Murphey's law.
"Mum," I whispered as she sat in Italian class. "Mum, can you come and advise me. I managed to carob coat your whole kitchen!"
So I had to grab the egg flip and scrape all the now-hard carob off the walls, floor, water bottles, potato box, bench - everywhere!
As soon as that was done. I grabbed another handful of carob buds and remelted them. I had to start from scratch but it was funny! And I did get some great photos!
