So the birthday was Sabbath, but Sunday was party day!Everyone, (the guests) arrived at 11am after a mad frenzy of cooking, setting up and decorating. I guess it was a good thing that the Curnucks had lots of visitors. Dave washed the chairs and Uncle Sam helped Hannah set up the decorations and Luke and I blew up around 45 balloons while Sarah stretched them for us. We both had sore cheeks after that. :P
Lunch was served about 12-12:30 and was an awesome meal! I was so starving on account of the breakfast of pancakes having to stretch so far.
After lunch the girls cut the cake and desert was dealt with (with enthusiasm) and then, amid much chattering and laughing, people began to drift away. Games began and that narrowed the circle even more.
But the day didn't really end until quite late because there was a small mob that hung around to watch the girls open their many presents. And it was only when they left that those of us that were hungry ate tea and then prepared to get some much needed sleep.
"And the evening and the morning were the 6th day..."
