Today was allot like yesterday. However, it didn't take me long at all to actually get close to her and touch her, and putting the rope around her neck was easy too. But getting the head-collar on was a different story. I tried and tried, then Jennie came in and put that on for me.
I did a little bit of lead work with her and then brushed her mane for a while. Also had her 'tied up' but so that she could get away if she really wanted to.
When I let her go, she was letting me pat her neck and then she didn't want to go out of the yards for a while again and was watching us as we worked in the paddock next door.
(Sorry if this all get's a bit boring but I'm writing a diary about the journey (As you can see!) and this is a good incentive to be writing it. I'm also hoping to make a real hard copy diary with photos and stuff.)
Don't worry, it's not boring. It's great to know that she is warming up to you.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's a pretty awesome experience! Glad it's not boring for ya - yet!
