Book of Wisdom: Proverbs 3:27-35

Withhold not good...devise not evil against thy neighbour...strive not with a man without cause...(the LORD's) secret is with the righteous...the wise shall inherit glory... (Verses from Prov 3:27-35)

Who is my neighbour? When a young man put this question to Jesus long ago, Jesus painted the word picture of the Good Samaritan. (Luke 10:29-37) Our neighbor is anyone whom God places in our path. Maybe our housemate, our school-friends, our workmates, the lady with th flat tyre on the way to church, the pastor. Our neighbors are usually people who dwell beside us in peace (though sometimes we are called to minister to our enemies) and it is our Christian duty to aid them and provide for them as we are in any way able. God loves a cheerful giver and I'm sure that we have all experienced that giving is truly more blessed then receiving. AND, kindness always comes back.
